Tony Hawk (1968) was born and raised in San Diego, California. Hawk was different from other kids, he always expected too much on himself. There was one time he hid in a ravine because he was so disappointed himself when he was called out in a baseball match.

Hawk is well-known for his “900” trick. His first “900” was landed when he was 31 years old in 1999. He landed another “900” at the age of 43 and his last one when he was 48. Hawk joined annual X Game until 2003 and retired after that.
One of the noticeable milestone in his career is his performance at President Barack Obama's June 2009 Father's Day celebration. He is the first and the only one until now who is allowed to skateboard in the hallways on the White House.
Hawk's retirement was followed by sponsorship from established brands such as Vans, Birdhouse, Independent, Nixon and Theeve. He also invested in his Youtube Channel Hawk's RIDE. In 2013, a demonstration of his group of vert skateboarders in India was recorded and published on his Youtube Channel. His group was wellcomed by a very young excited Indian youngsters as this was the first ever vert demonstration in India.
The story of Hawk has been a source of inspiration for many directors. He made his appearance in several movies, music videos and TV shows, both as himself and as a skater-double.
